Overview:

Imagine the classic of all classics, minesweeper but in first person???

Thats what I did for the three days of Mini Jam 188 where the optional theme was "Mystery" and the limitation was "All in a box". I hope you like the game and have a chance to rate it!

Also I will challenge you to beat the extraterrestrial game mode, it is so hard!

Credits:

Credit to the amazing asset Traversal Pro  (made by Joshua) for the smooth and responsive movement, if you work in unity this asset is a must have, great support and dynamic rigidbody based movement is the least of it!!

The game cant load on browser

Weird, it works for me, what part of the game doesnt load?

The gameplay part

On what difficulty?

Every difficulty

Hmm, thats soo weird, it works for me, try using a different browser.

suggestion: please make this theme more legible... and also make the camera not feel so slow, and maybe don't force every mine to be flagged

other than that, it's minesweeper

Thanks for the suggestions! I think the camera is a little faster in the downloadable version. And yeah, thats the point (I like minesweeper). Oh and btw, if I don't force every mine to be flagged what should the win condition be?

every non-mine tile being revealed, like how it is in classic minesweeper (so you don't have to flag every mine, you just need to reveal every tile that isn't a mine)

But that would still leave 50/50 situations, flagging every mine is easy if you have every non mine tile revealed, so it's kind of the same thing. Sorry if I'm not really understanding what you mean.

well, allowing players to win via just revealing all the non-mine tiles makes the game faster because you don’t have to take the time to flag every single mine, even when there’s no point to flagging, leading to wasted time doing what you’ve already done mentally

I guess, I think I'll keep it though as it is a good way to resolve 50/50 situaltions, you can flag both of the tiles and will then win even though a non mine tile is flagged, the only change is that your score is lower.

bro i got 50/50 on the last turn :(

Ouch, that's harsh. What difficulty? Thanks for playing btw!

Intermediate. Suggestion: maybe add a mine count?

How would that help with 50/50 situations, or is it just meant as a nice tool to see your progress? (I'm actually already adding it, and some settings + audio to the game in the next update)

It was something like this (P = flag, [] = unopened cell) :

2 P 4 P

[][][][]

There are 2 possibilities for this, one that requires 2 mines, and one that requires 3.

Oh, okay, I get it, thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely implement that!

I got addicted playing this and lost my job and it ruined my life because it's so fun. I'm suing

This is really cool! I've never seen an FPS version of minesweeper

I agree that it's very cool, thanks for playing it!

Great!

Thanks!
